According to the National Traffic Safety Committee, on the occasion of the May 1 holiday, there were 65 traffic accidents nationwide, killing 28 people and injuring 56. According to Hai Phong City Police, the accident occurred at 3:03 a.m. in Quoc Tuan Commune. The tractor-trailer driven by Mr. Vu Huy Manh (38 years old, in So Dau ward, Hong Bang district) in the direction of Thai Binh - Quang Ninh crashed into the house of Mr. Hoang Viet Dung located next to National Highway 10.
Mr. Dung's house collapsed, two motorbikes and many other properties were damaged, no one in the house was injured. However, Manh driver had a broken right leg and the front of the tractor-trailer was severely damaged, lying in the rubble.
