In hot weather, workers divided into many different construction teams to soon complete this bridge.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nha - Construction Worker at Rach Mieu 2 Bridge Project - shared, in order to soon bring the project to be completed and put into use, the workers divided the shift to work all day and night. At the main bridge (Rach Mieu Bridge 2), on this 30th and 1.5 holidays, the workers are performing the work such as: dismantling Hop Long burning scaffolding; removing casting cars; Cast railing; Remove the system of construction of cable construction at the main bridge.
"Despite many difficulties such as hot weather, the collective of workers and engineers at the construction site are still working hard. For the brothers here, a holiday is just a working day like many other days. Everyone hopes the bridge will be completed soon so that people can travel more easily," said Mr. Nha.

Mr. Tran Van Thi - Director of My Thuan Project Management Board (Ministry of Construction) - said that during the April 30 and 1.5 holidays, at the Rach Mieu 2 bridge project site, the units are working in 3 shifts, 4 teams, with a total of more than 20 construction teams, more than 80 equipment units, about 350 workers and 50 technical staff.
Specifically, the road section of this project has 14 main construction teams, 60 equipment teams, 30 technical staff and about 155 workers. They will construct the above foundation layer of stone; cast concrete and install a median strip; construct ramp branch box culverts; construct asphalt concrete on the road surface...
For the bridge section on the project route, there are 3 main construction teams, 5 equipment teams, 5 technical staff and about 45 workers. They will construct items such as: Xoai Hot bridge: construction of filling materials behind the abutment; construction of the transitional section behind the abutment; Song Ma bridge: construction of cross-beams; pouring concrete for the bridge deck; construction of the My Tho bridge expansion joints.
As for the main bridge (Rach Mieu 2 bridge), there are 3 main construction teams, more than 15 equipment teams, 15 technical staff and about 150 workers. They will construct items such as: dismantling the dragon fruit burning scaffolding; removing cast iron cars; casting railing edges; removing the cable-stayed railing system.
The Rach Mieu 2 Bridge project has a starting point at the intersection between National Highway 1 and Provincial Road 870 in Chau Thanh District, Tien Giang Province, and an end point connecting to National Highway 60 at the Ham Luong Bridge approach road in Ben Tre Province. This project has a scale of 4 lanes, a design speed of 80km/h, expected to be completed in early September 2025. When the Rach Mieu 2 Bridge project is completed, it will contribute to reducing traffic congestion at the existing Rach Mieu Bridge.
