Timely "makeover" before Tet
On the afternoon of January 28, in an exchange with Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Pham Hoang Tuan - Vice Chairman of Do Son Ward People's Committee said that the Dam Vuong Park Renovation and Embellishment Project has reached 99% of the set schedule. Most items have been completed, only some sections of fences are being lowered and painted according to the approved design. It is expected that by the end of January, the project will be basically completed, serving the needs of people and tourists right on the occasion of the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026.
Also according to leaders of Do Son ward, on the evening of February 12 (ie, the 25th day of the twelfth lunar month), a mass art festival to welcome Spring 2026 will also take place at Dam Vuong Park. This is a large-scale Tet care activity in the area with 17 performances from schools, residential groups, armed forces and mass organizations, promising to bring a joyful and excited atmosphere to welcome the new spring for soldiers and people in the area.

In addition to Dam Vuong Park, many projects to renovate and embellish parks and flower gardens in the city are also urgently reaching the finish line before Tet. The Hanh Phuc Lake flower garden project was approved for investment policy by the City People's Committee in 2023, with a scale of about 2 hectares, with a total investment of nearly 80 billion VND. The project started in July 2024, right on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Kien An district (old). To date, contractors are mobilizing maximum manpower and machinery, organizing continuous construction so that by January 31, the items will be basically completed, ensuring the project is put into use according to plan.
The Tam Bac River Embellishment Project section from Lac Long bridge to Hoang Van Thu bridge with a total investment of more than 557 billion VND from the Hai Phong City budget has also completed the items, bringing a spacious and beautiful appearance to this area before the Binh Ngo Tet.
