At about 11:15 a.m. on June 28, the working group of Road Traffic Police Team No. 1 - Traffic Police Department, Hanoi City Police, led by Major Dang Hoang Tan, was on duty in the area south of Chuong Duong Bridge when they received a report that someone was planning to jump over the bridge.
The working group immediately approached the scene and discovered a young man about 30 years old hanging outside the railing.
With the support of the people, the traffic police force persistently advised that after about 10 minutes, this person agreed to give up his intention and was taken to the checkpoint to rest and stabilize his mentality.
After verification, the working group contacted the young man's family.
At about 1:00 p.m. the same day, Ms. L.T.T.H (born in 1962, residing in Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoi) came to pick up her son, Mr. L.T.T (born in 1994).
Talking to the authorities, Ms. T.H said that Mr. T was depressed and had recently shown signs of psychological instability.
moved by the dedicated help, she wrote a letter of thanks to the traffic police force.
The timely and responsible actions of the working group have contributed to protecting people's lives, clearly demonstrating the spirit of serving the people of the People's Public Security force.
