On March 29, Traffic Police Team No. 1 (Traffic Police Department of Khanh Hoa Provincial Police) worked with Mr. N.H. V. (33 years old, residing in Dak Lak) - TikToker posted a clip of driving a water motorbike on a public beach in Nha Trang, causing public stir in recent days.
At the meeting, Mr. V. said that at about 11 pm on March 27, he and some people brought a water motorbike to the Nha Trang beach area (section opposite Thanh Nien football field, Nha Trang ward, Khanh Hoa province).
According to the presentation, the water motorbike was bought by him for about 400 million VND.
Because he did not see the no-entry sign, he drove the vehicle 4 laps on the sea surface to check the engine, then stopped and brought it ashore.
Mr. V. admitted that his actions violated regulations on waterway traffic.
This person also does not have a professional certificate of water motorcycle driving as prescribed, and the vehicle does not have a registration certificate.
Functional agencies have made a record of administrative violation against Mr. V. for two acts: "Not having a vehicle registration certificate as prescribed" and "The vehicle operator does not have a professional certificate as prescribed".
Previously, social networks spread a 54-second clip posted by a TikTok account with about 1 million followers, recording the scene of this person driving a water motorbike at high speed, running many times around in the public beach area in Nha Trang.
Notably, this is an area for people and tourists to swim in the sea, not allowed to organize water motorbike activities, posing a potential safety risk.
