Hanoi - Heavy rain accompanied by strong winds caused trees on To Hieu street to be uprooted, crushing a motorcyclist who had to be hospitalized for emergency treatment.

The heavy rain on the morning of March 29 caused a green tree on To Hieu street (Ha Dong ward, Hanoi) to suddenly uproot and fall on a motorcyclist.

According to initial information, at about 10:20 am on March 29, on To Hieu street (Ha Dong ward, Hanoi City), a green tree uprooted and fell on a motorcyclist.

People said that at the time of the incident, the area had heavy rain and strong winds. At this time, a man driving a motorbike with license plate 33N4-20. XX was moving on To Hieu street. When arriving in front of house number 68, this person was suddenly uprooted and crushed by a roadside tree.

The incident caused the victim to be injured and taken to the emergency room. Immediately after that, functional forces were present at the scene, proceeding to cut down green trees, clear the road, and ensure traffic.

Representatives of Road Traffic Police Team No. 7 (Traffic Police Department, Hanoi City Police) said that after receiving the news, the unit sent officers and soldiers to the scene to coordinate in handling the incident.

Currently, the cause of the incident is being further clarified by functional agencies.
