In recent days, the Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police has simultaneously launched a general inspection and strictly handled the means of transportation on both road and waterway. This peak campaign aims to promptly detect, prevent and punish violations, especially those that directly lead to traffic accidents, contributing to ensuring the safety of people.

After only 3 days of deployment, the Traffic Police force has achieved remarkable results.
On the road: 3,812 cases have been stopped for inspection, 1,083 violations have been fined. Of which, 3 cases had their driving licenses revoked, 90 cases had their driving license points deducted and 7 vehicles were temporarily detained.
On waterways: Nearly 400 cases were inspected, with 100 cases being fined. Notably, 96 violations were related to freight vehicles and 4 violations were related to passenger transport.
During the implementation process, the Traffic Police Teams/Stations have used synchronous professional measures to effectively handle violations. At the same time, the force also proactively acknowledged the shortcomings in state management of transport business activities, thereby advising and proposing timely solutions to competent authorities to ensure safe and smooth road and waterway transport activities.

Along with inspection and handling, propaganda and dissemination of laws on traffic safety and order have also been promoted in many diverse forms. Traffic police units have actively coordinated with companies and transport business enterprises to organize propaganda for officers, employees directly involved in the operation and the driver team. In particular, the signing of a commitment to comply with the law has been implemented to raise awareness and compliance of drivers and vehicle owners.
In the coming time, the Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Police will continue to maintain inspection and handling of violations related to commercial vehicles for transportation on both road and waterway. At the same time, propaganda work will also be promoted to achieve the highest efficiency of this peak period.
After the peak period, the Traffic Police Department will conduct an overall assessment of the achieved results, difficulties and advantages and propose specific solutions to improve the quality and efficiency of work, contributing to maintaining stable traffic order and safety in Ho Chi Minh City.
