At 4:20 a.m. on November 23, fishing boat BTh-81422-TS, 30CV capacity, 7.1m long, operating a trawler net, was driven by Mr. Nguyen Van Khanh (42 years old), in Son My commune, Lam Dong province.
Due to the darkness, limited visibility and bad weather, big waves, and strong winds, the ship ran aground while moving to the anchorage at the mouth of the Ha Lang River. At this time, there was 1 crew member on the boat.
Immediately after receiving the information, Tan Thang Border Guard Station and the Border Guard Command of Lam Dong province mobilized 15 officers and soldiers to coordinate with fishermen to support towing fishing boats from the stranded location.
By 5:50 a.m., the fishing boat had cleared the shore and moved safely to the wharf. Fortunately, there were no human casualties; property damage is estimated at about 50 million VND.
Previously, at noon on November 21, Tan Thang Border Guard Station also supported the successful towing of fishing boat BTh-81430-TS, 60CV capacity of Mr. Huynh Thanh Binh, in Son My commune, which capsized while moving from sea to shore.
Currently, Tan Thang Border Guard Station continues to send forces to regularly monitor weather developments and recommend that crew members and fishermen proactively take measures to ensure the safety of people and property when operating at sea.
