In two mountainous districts of Quang Tri province, local authorities have evacuated hundreds of people from areas at risk of flooding and landslides caused by storm No. 4.

On the afternoon of September 19, storm No. 4 made landfall in Quang Tri province and weakened into a low pressure area, causing widespread rain.

As of 4:00 p.m. on September 19, the entire Quang Tri province had evacuated 1,073 households/2,937 people to safe places in Gio Linh district: 90 households/198 people; Dong Ha city: 52 households/144 people; Hai Lang district: 5 households/9 people; Huong Hoa district: 32 households/143 people; Trieu Phong: 33 households/39 people; Quang Tri town: 129 households/516 people; Cam Lo: 644 households/1,554 people; Dakrong: 88 households/143 people.

Up to this point, heavy rains have caused water levels to rise, inundating the spillways from 0.4 to 1.5 meters; causing many points to be cut off. In Dakrong district, A Ngo - A Bung spillway on National Highway 15D, Ta Rut - A Ngo spillway, Ly Ton spillway in Ta Long commune, Lang Cat village spillway in Dakrong commune, spillway in resettlement area of ​​Huc Nghi commune, Ba Long spillway, Ba Long commune are cut off due to rising water.

On Ho Chi Minh road through Dakrong district, a landslide occurred at Km 267 + 700 with a volume of about 50m3 spilling over 2/3 of the road surface.

The road from Huong Tan commune to Huong Linh (Huong Hoa district) is experiencing slight landslides at Km2+150 to Km 3+300.

The heavy rains and floods caused the water level to rise, inundating the spillways from 0.3m to 1m in Huong Hoa district, causing many points to be isolated.
