In May 2026, investment capital implemented from the state budget managed by the locality reached 1,263.9 billion VND, equal to 8.5% of the assigned capital plan, an increase of 12.4% compared to the previous month and an increase of 11.2% compared to the same period last year.
In general, in the first 5 months of 2026, investment capital managed by localities is estimated at 4,902.2 billion VND, equal to 32.8% of the annual plan and down 5.3% compared to the same period last year. Of which, provincial budget balancing capital is estimated at 3,579 billion VND, down 29.2%, and commune budget balancing capital reaches 1,330 billion VND, 9.3 times higher than the same period in 2025.
Previously, at the end of April, Da Nang City People's Committee issued Directive No. 04/CT-UBND, setting a target that by May 31, the disbursement rate will reach at least 20% of the assigned capital plan. This locality also reviewed, cut or transferred capital from projects that are not really necessary or do not meet the conditions for implementation to focus resources on key projects.
At the construction sites, departments, branches, localities and investors are actively removing obstacles in site clearance, construction material sources and completing investment procedures. On the coastal route connecting Lien Chieu port, contractors are focusing manpower and equipment to serve logistics infrastructure connection in the future. Urban drainage projects, technical infrastructure renovation and resettlement areas serving the Hoa Lien - Tuy Loan expressway are also being accelerated in construction progress to complete the site.
At the Vo Chi Cong road completion project, units are synchronously deploying the foundation, road surface and technical infrastructure items to strengthen the connection of the Eastern traffic axis. In the Western area, the project of the road connecting the Western Ring Road to the La Son - Tuy Loan expressway continues to maintain the construction of the road foundation, drainage and auxiliary works. For the National Highway 14B intersection project with the Da Nang - Quang Ngai expressway, the construction unit is focusing on treating the foundation, building service roads and technical infrastructure to reduce traffic pressure. In the inner city area, the project to upgrade and renovate March 29th Park is accelerating landscape and ecological environment improvement items.
Da Nang is also prioritizing resources for long-term dynamic projects such as Lien Chieu port, logistics infrastructure associated with Chu Lai airport, urban railway system and high-speed urban roads connecting Da Nang - Hoi An - Chu Lai. Capital is also oriented to focus on international financial center infrastructure, free trade zone, high-tech zone and innovation spaces. To prepare for commencement in the second quarter and the last months of 2026, the city is urgently completing procedures for the National Highway 14D expansion project, the Climate Change Adaptation Development project and the Le Thanh Nghi - Cach Mang Thang Tam - Thang Long traffic junction cluster - access road to Hoa Xuan bridge.
