8-year-old girl dies from drowning while swimming in Trai Tieu lake

    Ha Tinh - While swimming in Trai Tieu lake in Dong Loc commune, an 8-year-old girl unfortunately drowned and died.

    On the morning of June 8, a leader of Dong Loc Commune People's Committee said that on the afternoon of June 7, a drowning incident occurred at Trai Tieu lake in Trai Tieu village, killing a baby girl.

    Accordingly, on the afternoon of June 7, child D. T. M. H (born in 2018, residing in Do Hanh village, Dong Loc commune) and relatives went swimming at Trai Tieu lake.

    While swimming, unfortunately, child H moved to a deep water area and drowned.

    Upon receiving the news, representatives of the government and Dong Loc Commune Police came to the scene to verify, clarify and determine that the baby died from drowning.

    After that, the baby girl's body was handed over to her family to be buried according to local customs.

    Also according to the leader of Dong Loc Commune People's Committee, the Trai Tieu lake area has been placed with dangerous warning signs. However, tragic drowning accidents still occur.
