On August 19, Sun Group Group officially started the Da Nang Downtown super project, with a total investment of nearly VND80,000 billion on a scale of nearly 77 hectares, in the old Asia Park area, Hoa Cuong ward.
The project promises to change the face of Da Nang urban area with the highlight being the iconic 69-storey tower, 408m high, when completed it will be the second tallest building in Vietnam. The project is expected to become a new architectural symbol of Da Nang and the Central region, inside which is a 5-star hotel complex, offices, luxury apartments and a shopping mall.
In addition, the diverse Da Nang Downtown entertainment complex is developed as a " miniature city" on the Han River, including: 4,000-seat large theater; bustling commercial area along the river; Cultural park and large green space. This place is oriented to become a destination for international-class art shows and a future "fireworks stage", contributing to the city's night-time economy.
The groundbreaking event took place in the atmosphere of celebrating the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2, affirming the aspiration to turn Da Nang into a leading tourism, trade and entertainment center in the region.
