According to the forecast information of the General Department of Hydrometeorology on October 31, from November 3 to 10, the Central region may be affected by some bad weather patterns causing heavy rain. After November 10, heavy rain in the Central region continues to develop complicatedly with the possibility of 2-3 heavy rains. In which, the first half of November will be concentrated in the provinces from Ha Tinh to Quang Ngai, the second half of November and early December will be concentrated in the provinces from Quang Binh to Phu Yen.
To proactively respond to natural disasters, the Chairman of the City People's Committee requested the Heads of armed forces, Directors of departments, branches, and sectors, Chairmen of People's Committees of districts and relevant agencies and units to closely monitor disaster forecasts and warnings; be ready to deploy disaster prevention and control plans; review residential areas living in low-lying areas, riverside areas, and areas at risk of landslides and flash floods. Pay special attention to people living along Tuy Loan and Cu De rivers.
According to the functions and tasks, direct the Management Boards and Investors of the projects under construction to be ready to deploy plans to prevent heavy rain for the projects; deploy measures to prevent flooding, and clear the Vietnamese sausagey river for residential areas due to unfinished projects.
The Chairman of the City People's Committee requested the People's Committees of districts to continue to review and be ready to evacuate people in areas at risk of deep flooding, flash floods, and landslides; coordinate with relevant units to prepare forces, means, equipment, and essential necessities according to the "four on-site" motto to be ready to respond to natural disasters; mobilize people to proactively raise their assets, clear water intakes in front of their houses, ensure safety for vehicles and harvest agricultural products early.
The Department of Construction presides over and coordinates with the People's Committees of districts to direct the implementation of plans to prevent flooding and clear drainage ditches.
The Department of Transport shall preside over and coordinate with relevant units to inspect, ensure safety and smooth operation of main traffic routes; fully prepare safety solutions, quickly overcome the consequences of natural disasters and warn people in dangerous areas.
