The 2026 apple harvesting festival is held at Ban Chon Cultural House, with the theme "Muong Bu apples - Connecting farmers, spreading values".

The program includes a series of activities to visit and experience the apple orchard, directly listen to farmers share experiences in planting and caring for apples, and participate in the apple harvesting contest at the orchard.


In addition, the festival also has activities of visiting and shopping at typical local agricultural product booths; village and sub-area introduction contests; apple knowledge contests and many exciting folk games such as: apple eating contest on ropes, apple passing contest in baskets, apple picking contest in baskets. Activities contribute to creating a joyful atmosphere and strengthening community cohesion.


Sharing at the festival, Ms. Le Thanh Tam, a tourist from To Hieu ward, said: "Because the venue is also near home, my family brings our children to participate on weekends. The experiential activities are very interesting, helping children understand more about agriculture and Muong Bu apple products.


Currently, Muong Bu commune has more than 130 hectares of various types of apples, of which over 60 hectares are large apples, mainly concentrated in Chon, Ta Mo villages and sub-area 2. Muong Bu apples are mainly cared for in an organic direction, with an estimated output of more than 740 tons per year, with 2 products certified OCOP.

According to Mr. Lu Van Qui, Chairman of Muong Bu Commune People's Committee, this is the 3rd consecutive year the locality has organized the Apple Harvesting Day. “Through the festival, the commune wishes to promote large apple products, create opportunities to connect consumption, and contribute to improving the value of agricultural products and income for people,” Mr. Qui emphasized.
