Many projects create momentum for the economy
In the period of 2020-2025, Dak Lak province's economy (including after the merger with Phu Yen) maintained a fairly good growth rate, with the average GRDP in 2021-2025 reaching about 6.24%/year, higher than the national average.
Total social investment capital for 5 years is estimated at 302,638 billion VND, GRDP per capita is estimated at 80.13 million VND, and total state budget revenue is 71,686 billion VND.
The province has attracted many strategic projects, creating momentum for socio-economic development, notably renewable energy projects, processing industry, housing and high-end resort tourism areas.
Traffic infrastructure has also been unblocked, many strategic and long-term projects have been implemented, creating momentum for economic development.
The major highlight is the investment project to build the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot expressway (phase 1) about 117.5km long. This is the first expressway connecting forests and seas, opening up great opportunities for many industries, especially logistics.

However, in the coming period, agriculture, forestry and fishery are still the main pillars to maintain growth rate and expand the province's economic scale.
Mr. Truong Cong Thai - Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee - commented: "The entire political system, business community and people have joined hands to overcome the difficult period. After the impact of COVID-19 and economic recession, the province faces many pressures, especially difficulties in disbursing public investment capital in key projects".
According to Mr. Thai, only when public investment capital is unblocked can the local economy develop a breakthrough. Thanks to continuous efforts, even exchanges, the province has completed and exceeded many targets of the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress in the recent term.

Opening a major road to attract investment
Entering the 2025-2030 period, Mr. Ta Anh Tuan - Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee - said that the locality will focus on developing high-quality, modern agricultural, forestry and fishery products.
At the same time, the province also promotes ecological and sustainable agriculture, associated with building new rural areas and aiming for potential export markets.
The province will also invest in building industrial parks and clusters, combining upgrading and synchronizing transport infrastructure to facilitate investment attraction.
Authorities need to regularly grasp the difficulties and problems of enterprises, promptly make recommendations to competent authorities to resolve them, create favorable conditions for production and business, increase revenue, profit and income for workers.
Mr. Tuan emphasized: "The province will focus on building a corporate culture, a business culture, forming a team of businessmen with heart, vision, talent, virtue and responsibility towards society; at the same time, training highly skilled management staff and technical workers to meet the requirements of innovation, integration and development".
In the period of 20262030, the province will implement key tasks to achieve an average growth rate of gross regional domestic product (GRDP) of 11.5%/year or more.
By 2030, the average GRDP per capita (at current prices) is expected to reach 160 million VND/person/year or more.
