Faced with this situation, Dak Lak provincial authorities have focused on promoting vocational training and education, thereby helping ethnic minority people escape poverty and stabilize their lives.

In the first 9 months of 2024, the Center for Vocational Education - Continuing Education of M'Drak district has extensively implemented the National Target Program on sustainable poverty reduction.

In particular, the Center has opened 6 vocational training and education classes for nearly 130 students in the district, focusing on disadvantaged communes where workers do not have stable jobs.

Mr. Tran Trong Le (M'Drak district) has just graduated from a cattle breeding class at the district's Vocational Education - Continuing Education Center. Mr. Le has applied the knowledge he has learned, boldly researched market needs to focus on raising cattle in large numbers.

"With the help of vocational teachers who imparted useful knowledge, I hope to build my own livestock farm to gradually develop the economy," Mr. Le added.

According to statistics from the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Dak Lak province, in the period of 2021-2023, the authorities of Dak Lak province supported vocational training for a total of 9,121 rural workers, with a total cost of more than 31 billion VND.

In the period of 2024 - 2025, Dak Lak province aims to support vocational training for about 15,400 rural workers with a support budget of about 53 billion VND.

Create initiative in vocational training

In fact, in Dak Lak province, the recruitment of elementary vocational training and vocational training for rural workers faces many difficulties. The number of workers participating in vocational training at vocational education centers - Continuing education of districts, towns and cities is still small.
