On January 7, Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee informed that local authorities and armed forces are still drastically implementing the "Quang Trung Campaign", rapidly building and repairing houses for households heavily damaged by storms and floods.
As of the beginning of January 2026, the total number of heavily damaged houses that need repair is 892 units; 100% have been completed so far. For newly built houses, the whole province has 606 units; currently 362 units have been completed, reaching nearly 60%.
Among the remaining 244 houses, 167 houses have been constructed, reaching over 80% of the volume; 61 houses have reached over 65%; 16 houses belonging to resettlement areas are under construction, about 50%. It is expected that all houses will be completed before the Lunar New Year 2026.
Mr. Ta Anh Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee said: "Recently, the province has handed over 362 houses in advance. During the handover process, the province and units, especially the military, have supported people to buy some essential items such as refrigerators, TVs, and rice cookers to serve initial living.
Implementing the spirit of the Prime Minister's direction, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and units will continue to support necessary items to help people soon stabilize their lives after receiving a new house.
