On the evening of November 18, a leader of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Dak Lak Province Police said that the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force in coordination with the Yang Mao commune government had brought all 180 people in the flooded area of Ea Hanh village (Yang Mao commune) to safety.
In addition, the authorities also transferred food and provisions to 26 households that were isolated in other areas, waiting for the water to recede to continue evacuation.
Previously, heavy rain lasting for three days caused Ea Hanh village to be deeply flooded and isolated; the risk of landslides in this area is also at an alarming level.
By the morning of November 18, local forces had stretched ropes across the river to support the evacuation of people from the danger zone.
However, in the afternoon of the same day, heavy rain returned and floodwaters poured in strongly, forcing the forces to temporarily suspend evacuation work.
Immediately afterwards, the Dak Lak Provincial Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force was mobilized to the scene to coordinate with the locality, continuing to evacuate people from the dangerous area before the flood.
