Preserving traditional cultural values
After the merger, Dak Lak province has 102 administrative units, including 88 communes and 14 wards, with an area of over 18,096km2, ranking third in the country.
The current population is more than 3.3 million people, including 49 ethnic groups. Of which, ethnic minorities account for about 35.7%, creating diversity in culture, customs and local identity.
The project to build a learning society for the period 2021-2030 of the province, issued on December 31, 2021, aims to raise awareness, create opportunities for access to education for all people and build a sustainable learning society, while supporting the younger generation to preserve and conserve traditional cultures of ethnic groups.
In the past 5 years, 100% of commune and ward units have improved and implemented learning models such as "Citizen Learning", "Family learning", "Class learning"... Units have stepped up propaganda and organized many practical activities in line with the project's goals.

In many localities, schools and authorities have supported ethnic minority students, especially the De people, in preserving traditional cultural values.
H'An Ji Bya (Ea Kao ward) shared: "Every day, I go to school in the morning and afternoon to the cooperative to learn how to make clothes and apply apply apply apply apply. In addition to the brocade, many young people of the same age also participate in preserving the gong rhythm of the village. For us, gongs are the soul of the nation.
At Ea Tu Secondary School (Tan An Ward), the gong Club maintains regular operations. Students not only practice gong playing skills but also interact, learn new skills and creatively spread the culture.
During interactions with friends of the same age in ethnic minority villages, they told stories about gongs through music and vivid presentations, both contributing to preserving cultural values and creating a healthy and useful playground.
Spreading good models and practices
Mr. Le Duy Nhat - Head of the Department of Vocational Education - Continuing Education (Department of Education and Training of Dak Lak province) - commented that community activities, experiences, entertainment and folk games organized locally have contributed to improving knowledge, honoring the value of tangible and intangible cultural heritage of ethnic groups in the province.
At the same time, these activities raise awareness of protecting national cultural identity and arouse the spirit of learning among the people. In particular, for the younger generation, clubs are built suitable for each target group, helping to improve cultural and spiritual life".

According to Mr. Nhat, in the period of 20262030, agencies and units will strengthen coordination and mobilize cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees and people to actively participate in the movement to promote learning, promote talents and build a learning society.
Thereby, promptly introducing and praising outstanding collectives and individuals, models, replicating good practices and creating a strong spread in the community.
The province will also continue to promote the lifelong learning movement in families, clans, and communities, while building a "Citizen Learning" model according to the approved project.
