On the evening of January 10, leaders of Chieng Sinh commune, Dien Bien province said that the identities of the 2 unfortunate victims were identified as Mr. Lo Van T (born 1991) and Ms. Quang Thi M (born 1983). Both resided in Thin B village, Chieng Sinh commune.
Leaders of Chieng Sinh commune added that the 2 deceased workers are local people, working seasonally for the construction unit. The commune government has organized visits and encouragement and is coordinating with families to arrange funeral procedures for the victims according to local customs.
It is known that the labor accident occurred at about 9 am this morning (January 10) when workers were constructing a drainage ditch when a brick wall (people's house wall) collapsed, killing 2 workers on the spot.
This is a project to renovate the rural road network under the National Target Program invested by the People's Committee of Chieng Sinh commune. The construction unit that caused the accident is a business in Muong Ang commune.
