On November 24, Hai Phong City Police informed: At 1:40 p.m. the same day, Center 114 - Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, City Police received a report and mobilized forces to handle the fire that occurred at Khoi Nguyen 2 Member Co., Ltd., located in Don Thu village, Truong Tan commune, Hai Phong City.
This facility has only been collecting scrap for the past 10 days, mainly collecting scrap in the footwear industry. The fire started at the outdoor scrap yard. Due to the nature of materials that are easily flammable, the fire spread quickly, creating a lot of black smoke.
Immediately after receiving the news, the fire fighting force mobilized 4 fire trucks and 30 officers and soldiers of the Fire Fighting & Rescue Team of Area 8 to the scene to deploy a fire extinguishing plan. Thanks to quick access and reasonable assignment of forces, by 3:00 p.m. the same day, the fire was basically under control. By 15:30, the fire was completely extinguished. Initial damage was determined to be the number of burned scrap, and statistics are being counted.
The cause of the fire is being further verified and clarified by the authorities.
