On August 19, the Binh Duong Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board under the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee announced that it had organized a groundbreaking ceremony for the underpass construction at the Phuoc Kien intersection, the section passing through Thu Dau Mot ward.
This project was approved with a total investment of 1,050 billion VND. Of which, the construction cost is about 424 billion VND, the site clearance cost is about 448 billion VND, the rest is other costs.
The project to build a reinforced concrete tunnel with a clearance of 5m. The designed speed for the underpass is 40 km/h. The length of the tunnel is about 630 m, the road to the underpass is 230 m long. Build a closed tunnel with 4 lanes, 22.4 m wide. The project has a rainwater drainage system, wastewater, water supply, trees, surveillance cameras, lighting system...

Regarding site clearance, the Binh Duong Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board said that the work of announcing land acquisition, measurement and inventory has reached 100%. 130 billion VND has been compensated for 122 records, reaching 84.5%. There are currently 32 cases that have not yet handed over the site.
The Binh Duong Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board is continuing to coordinate with units to resolve and mobilize the handover of the site.
According to records, Phuoc Kien intersection was one of the most complicated intersections in Binh Duong province before. This area is crowded with residents, and the traffic flow is very large. National Highway 13, Pham Ngoc Thach, Huynh Van Cu through this area often experience congestion.

The construction of an underpass from Pham Ngoc Thach Street across National Highway 13 connecting to Huynh Van Cu Street is considered the optimal solution to solve the traffic problem here. People expect the project to be completed soon and put into use, promoting the significance of the project.
