IC19 intersection is located near the old Dong Tuyen commune, an important connection point between Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway with National Highway 4E and Provincial Road 155.
According to the design, the project has a total investment of about 40 billion VND, including construction items of access roads, drainage systems, bridges, lighting, trees and other auxiliary items.
The implementation period is from 2023 to 2025. The construction unit is Thanh An Corporation.
The IC19 intersection, once completed, will contribute significantly to expanding the connection network between the central area of Lao Cai ward and the suburbs and the border gate economic zone.
Moving from National Highway 4E and Provincial Road 155 to the highway and vice versa will become convenient, reducing the load on inner-city routes, while meeting the increasing demand for freight transport and tourism.
On November 4, according to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, after a period of land clearance problems, the construction unit has mobilized human resources to deploy items on the bridge and approach road.
Along with that, many rollers are also present to serve the construction and rolling of the foundation after the site is handed over.
Mr. Nguyen Van Dung (a resident of Lao Cai ward) said: "This project is not only significant in terms of infrastructure but also promotes the development of the border economy, opening up opportunities to attract investment, especially in the field of logistics and border trade. Therefore, people really hope the project will be completed soon to ensure traffic safety and convenient travel".
Through research, the project has 8 households in Dong Tuyen commune within the scope of site clearance, subject to relocation. After a long period of propaganda and mobilization, the people have agreed to hand over the site to the investor and the construction unit.
According to the Lao Cai - Coc San Construction Investment Project Management Board, the locality has closely coordinated with relevant parties to propagate and mobilize people to agree with the investment policy to aim for common benefits.
It is known that by the beginning of November, the project had reached about 40% progress, expected to be completed before December 31.
When completed, the IC19 intersection will contribute to strategic connectivity between key traffic routes, facilitating the movement of goods, tourism, and border trade. Thereby synchronizing transport infrastructure for Lao Cai province in the new development stage.
