25 km of 6-lane road is often congested and overloaded
According to records, My Phuoc Tan Van road is nearly 65 km long, connecting many industrial parks and urban areas to logistics centers in Ho Chi Minh City.
Currently, nearly 40 km from Dinh Hoa roundabout to Cay Truong Industrial Park have been invested with 10 lanes. Of which, there are 6 lanes reserved for cars, 4 lanes mixed on both sides. In this section, vehicles are moving conveniently and airy.
The section from Dinh Hoa roundabout to Tan Van intersection, 25 km long, has only been invested with 6 lanes. This section passes through many industrial parks and large urban areas. Therefore, the large traffic volume has caused the road to gradually overload, especially at the intersections of Pham Ngoc Thach, DT 742, Phu Loi, An Phu... which often have traffic jams during rush hour.
Notably, the 15 km section (from Binh Chuan to Tan Van intersection, the section coinciding with the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 project being invested by Ho Chi Minh City) also often experiences traffic congestion.

Investing in 15 km in advance to coincide with Ring Road 3
The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee said that it is currently continuing to complete the investment project procedures to complete the My Phuoc - Tan Van road, including the 15.3km section coinciding with the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3.
This road section was built by the Industrial Investment and Development Corporation - JSC (Becamex IDC) with 6 lanes and put into use since 2015. Starting point from the intersection with DT 743A road (Thuy Chau tourist area section) to Binh Chuan intersection.
The authorities are calculating and completing the investment implementation dossier for 6 intersections in the 15 km section. This plan aims to ensure smooth traffic on My Phuoc Tan Van route.

Investors will build new underpasses (or overpasses) on main routes or level crossings. cross-section width ranges from 2 to 4 lanes. In addition, invest in other auxiliary construction items. At the same time, site clearance for the intersection area ensures the planned road boundary of My Phuoc Tan Van road and the access roads on both sides, sidewalks according to regulations.
The project will be built in 2025 and completed in 2026 to promptly connect with Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 when put into operation.

After that, it will continue to invest in 13 other intersections on My Phuoc Tan Van road. In addition, about 2 km from Cay Truong Industrial Park to Ho Chi Minh Road is also being calculated for investment.
