Orientation for developing crops of economic value
In early December 2025, in Jruang village, the Chu Pah Vocational Education - Continuing Education Center coordinated with the Department of Culture - Social Affairs of Ia Phi commune to organize the closing ceremony of the durian growing vocational training class under the National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction in 2025.

Although the coffee harvest season is busy, many workers are poor and near-poor households, and ethnic minorities in Ia Phi commune still rush to attend the closing ceremony of the vocational primary school.
Everyone was excited and happy when holding red certificates and certificates of knowledge about cultivation and durian cultivation techniques. Many people even carry their children to class.
Ms. Ro Cham Hyu (born in 1988, Ia Phi commune) said: My understanding of land and crop characteristics is still limited, due to early manual labor, earning a living in the fields since I was a child. Crop cultivation is mainly mutual learning, according to the tradition of local people.

Thanks to vocational training classes, I and many local people have a better understanding and awareness of how to care for and fertilize crops; how to create nutrients for soil, organize production, thereby increasing productivity and pests resistance for durian gardens.
Towards clean and organic agriculture
According to the Chu Pah Vocational Education - Continuing Education Center, in vocational training classes on agricultural production, the profession of cultivation and animal husbandry always attracts a large number of students to participate.

The course is not long, but lecturers still strive to convey the most basic and easy-to-understand knowledge about crops and disease prevention.
Areas such as Ia Phi, Ia Khuol, Chu Pah, Ia Ly (in the old Chu Pah district) have long been fertile lands for growing durian - a type of tree with high value in the market.
However, to form a linked growing area, towards organic production and clean agriculture, serving large-scale exports, it will take a long time with a clear orientation, as well as imparting skills and experience to people with land for production.

The lecturers also researched and selected lectures in accordance with the orientation and development goals of local governments.
That is to convert crop structure towards high economic value, good pests and diseases resistance, efficiency and towards high-tech agriculture; limit the use of pesticides to create safe growing areas, attract traders to buy agricultural products or set up deep processing factories for export in the area.

Mr. Pham Quang Long - Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ia Phi Commune, Gia Lai Province affirmed: "The implementation of a durian training course is a practical activity, contributing to improving cultivation knowledge in the direction of technical application, gradually implementing the goal of sustainable poverty reduction."
