Completing many difficult items
At the Dakrong Primary and Secondary Boarding School project (Dakrong commune, Quang Tri province), the construction area is located close to a high hillside, so creating construction site faces many obstacles, requiring a lot of time and effort.
In the early days of April, the weather in Dakrong commune appeared hot, although affecting workers' health, it created favorable conditions for construction progress after a long period of interruption due to prolonged rain.
Mr. Phan Tuan Anh - Commander of Manh Linh - General Contractor Consortium No. 8 - Thuan An - Tuan Tien - Trang An - Hoa Hung - Phuoc Binh said that the construction site is far from the center, the transportation of materials is difficult, plus high technical requirements such as deep foundation excavation and sand buffers, causing initial progress to be affected.
Currently, the construction site has more than 200 officials and workers working continuously. Difficult items such as foundation and site clearance have been completed, and the remaining tasks are being quickly deployed" - Mr. Anh informed.
According to records, the 3-story administrative building has completed the rough construction of the 1st and 2nd floors; the secondary school subject classroom building has also completed the rough construction of the floors; the teacher dormitory area has achieved similar progress...
Closely follow the progress of each project
According to the Quang Tri Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board, in April 2026, the Dakrong Primary and Secondary Boarding School project will complete the entire reinforced concrete frame structure, and at the same time deploy wall construction, plastering and technical infrastructure construction.
In May, June and July, the unit will complete all items, install equipment for handover, and put the project into use according to plan.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh - Director of the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board said that technical staff are assigned to closely monitor the construction site, monitor the progress of each item. The arising difficulties will be summarized, reported and proposed for timely handling plans.
Along with Dakrong, from mid-November 2025, 3 other inter-level boarding school projects will also be implemented, including Huong Phung Primary and Secondary Boarding School, Thuong Trach and Dan Hoa.
According to the People's Committee of Quang Tri province, the progress of the projects basically meets the set requirements. In Huong Phung commune, the entire functional building block has constructed the body from the 1st floor to the roof; basic technical infrastructure has completed ground leveling, about 40% of items are continuing to be implemented. In Thuong Trach, about 70% of the building block is constructing the body from the 1st floor to the 2nd floor, auxiliary items are gradually being completed. Especially in Dan Hoa, the progress is slower than other projects.
According to statistics, 4 projects have been allocated enough 1,061 billion VND, reaching 100% of the total investment. Accumulated disbursement value to date reached 306.886 billion VND.
During the construction process, increasing fluctuations in fuel and construction material prices have affected costs and progress. Faced with this situation, the People's Committee of Quang Tri province has directed departments and branches to review and propose solutions to remove obstacles, ensure material supply, and stabilize construction.
