On the morning of November 17, Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Xuan Chien - Deputy Head of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Khanh Hoa Provincial Police said that at 9:30 a.m., the rescue force had taken the last 2 victims out of the scene of the passenger bus accident on Khanh Le Pass.
A victim died in a state of being unfinished, and rescue forces had to collect the body in part.
While Team 3 was taking the victims out of the area, a few dozen meters from the scene, a large landslide suddenly occurred, isolating all of Team 3's forces. According to Lieutenant Colonel Chien, about 15 officers and soldiers are being isolated, initial information shows that all are safe.
Previously, the Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Force of Khanh Hoa Provincial Police was urgently mobilized to Khanh Le Pass.
Due to heavy rain, landslides occurred at Km43 and Km47, making it very difficult to access the scene. After nearly 2 hours, the rescue team reached the area where the passenger bus was in distress.
The landslide that buried a 40-seat passenger bus on Khanh Le Pass killed 6 people. Of these, 5 people died on the spot and 1 person was seriously injured and died after being taken out.
