On the afternoon of January 27 (ie 28th of Tet), information from Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 3 (Team 3, Traffic Police Department) said that the unit had just completed a penalty notice for the driver driving the car in the wrong direction on the highway entrance.
Previously, through images reported by people on social networks, at 3:00 p.m. on January 26, at Dong Thang intersection (Trieu Son district, Thanh Hoa province), a pickup truck with license plate 36C-333.XX appeared going in the opposite direction on the road leading to the Phap Van - Cau Gie - Cao Bo - Mai Son - National Highway 45, causing traffic insecurity.
Immediately upon receiving the feedback, Team 3 sent officers and soldiers to quickly verify the incident.
By the morning of January 27, the unit had identified the driver of the car going in the wrong direction as Mr. T.D.T (born in 1987, residing in Dong Son, Thanh Hoa), and invited this person to the police headquarters for questioning.
At the police station, Mr. T said that on the afternoon of January 26, he drove a car with license plate 36C-333.XX from Thanh Hoa city to Bim Son. When entering the Dong Thang intersection, because he did not know the way, he went in the opposite direction onto the road leading to the highway.
Mr. T himself realized that his behavior of driving in the wrong direction was very dangerous and could cause accidents for himself and others.
The Traffic Police Team 3 has issued a ticket to Mr. T.D.T for the violation: "Driving a car in the wrong direction on a one-way street". For the above violation, Mr. T will be fined 19 million VND and have 4 points deducted from his driving license.
