In addition, 1,500 doses of vaccine were injected, 13,700 liters of chemicals were sprayed with disinfectants... At the same time, inspection and guidance on epidemic prevention work at outbreaks" - Mr. Toan said.

In Lang Son province, African swine fever has broke out in 55 communes and wards of 5 districts and cities, including: Lang Son city, Chi Lang district, Van Lang, Loc Binh and Huu Lung district.

According to a report from the Department of Animal Husbandry, Fisheries and Veterinary Medicine (under the Department of Agriculture and Environment) of Lang Son province, from the beginning of 2025 to June 12, the whole province recorded outbreaks in 428 households in 136 villages, spread over 61 communes of 10 districts and cities. The total number of pigs forced to be destroyed is up to 1,293, with a total weight of nearly 69,000kg.

In the face of the above situation, localities with epidemics are urgently implementing measures to contain, control, and handle outbreaks.

The Department of Agriculture and Environment of Lang Son province has directed provincial-level specialized units to coordinate with the Agricultural Service Centers of districts, cities and local authorities to carry out disinfection, spray lime powder, and destroy infected pigs in accordance with regulations.

In addition, the provincial agricultural and environmental sector also ensures adequate supply of chemicals to handle outbreaks in a timely manner, while continuing to take samples to monitor and widely review high-risk areas to prevent the spread.

Localities are advised to continue to propagate people to raise awareness of disease prevention, not slaughter, transport sick pigs and dead pigs out of the epidemic area, and ensure biosafety in livestock farming.
