The rate of poor and near-poor households has decreased sharply
Thanks to the attention and close direction of Party committees and authorities at all levels, the lives of people in Krong No district have gradually improved, contributing to promoting sustainable socio-economic development.

According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Krong No district, the poverty rate in the area has decreased significantly over the years. The number of poor households according to the 2023 multidimensional poverty standard is 748 households, accounting for 3.78%; a decrease of 103 households is equivalent to a decrease of 0.54% compared to 2022, exceeding the poverty reduction target (0.5%)

In 2024, the number of poor households in Krong No district will be only 538, accounting for 2.72% (a decrease of 210 households compared to 2023, reaching 132.5% of the plan assigned by the province).
This result reflects the practical effectiveness of implementing multidimensional poverty reduction policies, in accordance with local actual conditions.
One of the key solutions that the district focuses on is supporting livelihoods and developing production for people. Programs such as the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction, loans from the Social Policy Bank, etc. have been effectively integrated, helping people access resources for economic development.

Thanks to that, many poor households have boldly invested in livestock farming and cultivation in the direction of goods production, increasing income and gradually escaping poverty.
Raising awareness, accessing social security for people
Along with supporting production, Krong No district also promotes vocational training and job creation for rural workers, especially young people.
Many training courses on agricultural techniques, livestock, mechanics... are organized regularly, contributing to improving skills and expanding job opportunities for people.
The education and health sectors are also receiving due attention. Many schools have been invested in construction, repair...

Commune health stations have been upgraded with facilities, and the medical team is well-trained, helping people, especially poor and near-poor households, access better health care services.
Discussing this issue, Mr. Doan Gia Loc - Head of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Krong No district said: "In the period of 2021-2025, the People's Committees of communes and towns have coordinated to effectively implement national target programs, bringing practical benefits to the people.

Value chain linkage production models and community production models are replicated, with the participation of commune officials, helping to increase income for people, especially ethnic minorities".
The most exciting thing is that the poor and near-poor are increasingly having full and widespread access to services on employment, education, healthcare, domestic water and information.
