Recently, Mr. Le Van Luong - Chairman of Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee signed Decision No. 2963 approving the receipt of aid funded by Japanese partners to implement "An experimental project to establish a smart agricultural management model, popularize and expand high-profit agricultural farming models through remote support in the province".
The total aid capital is over 13.4 billion VND (equivalent to more than 75.3 million Yen), from 100% non-refundable aid funds sponsored by Niinuma Tomofarm Co., Ltd.
The project will be implemented in Thanh Yen commune, Dien Bien province. The actual time is until the end of August 2026.
The project aims to transfer and apply modern and advanced production technology from Japan through supporting the construction of a membrane house system with microclimate control equipment, automatic irrigation and nutrition system, and sensor monitoring system (humidity, heat, CO2, light).
At the same time, improve the capacity of technical staff and people, creating a basis and premise for replicating the smart agriculture model in the province.
According to the plan, Niinuma Tomofarm Co., Ltd. organizes surveys, procurement, installation of smart membrane house systems, guidance and handover to project beneficiary organizations for management, operation and use.
The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment to preside over and coordinate with sponsors and related units to receive, manage and use aid in accordance with regulations.
