On April 8, information from Xuan Quang Commune Police said that a tragic accident had just occurred in the area, causing a young child to die from electric shock.
The victim is Sung Ngoc Ph (born 2025), H'Mong ethnicity. Because his parents went to work as workers in Hai Phong, he was sent to his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Giang Thi M (born 1957) to take care of.

According to initial information, at about 11 am on April 7, Ms. M was sitting at the door of the house picking corn, while Ph was playing alone inside. When she returned, she discovered her grandchild lying motionless on the floor. While picking him up, she was electrocuted, his hands numb, and discovered that he had been electrocuted and no longer moved.
The family immediately took the child to Bao Thang Regional General Hospital for emergency treatment, but the victim did not survive.
Immediately after receiving the information, Xuan Quang Commune Police coordinated with the District 6 Procuracy and professional units of the Provincial Police to conduct an examination and verification. Initial results determined that this was an electrical accident, with no signs of crime.

Before the family's loss, local police forces came to visit, encourage and provide partial financial support, helping the family soon stabilize their lives.
Functional agencies recommend that people regularly check the electrical system, cover outlets, do not leave electrical wires exposed and always have adults closely following children to limit risks.
