The project to upgrade and renovate National Highway 28B through Binh Thuan province currently has many construction teams at the locations assigned to the site. For locations that have not yet been handed over the site, procedures must be urgently carried out with the goal of handing over the entire project site to the construction unit by April 30.
Regarding this project, on February 2 at the 33rd session (special session), the People's Council of Binh Thuan province, term XI, issued a Resolution to adjust the area of land use conversion and land recovery for the project to upgrade and renovate National Highway 28B through Binh Thuan - Lam Dong provinces (under the territory of Binh Thuan province).

Through the steps of the provincial People's Committee, the verification report of the Provincial Economic and Budget Budget, the opinions of the delegates at the meeting, the provincial People's Council decided to adjust the area to change the purpose of land use and land acquisition from 53.06 ha to 50,638 ha (down 2,422 ha).

According to the Project Management Board, the project has been completed with the completed volume of construction package No. 1 (km0 - Km42) reaching 11.74%; construction package No. 2 (km42 - Km69) reaching 27.47%.
The People's Committee of Bac Binh district coordinates with relevant departments, branches, sectors and localities to speed up the progress of compensation and site clearance for the project.
The project to upgrade and renovate National Highway 28B through Binh Thuan and Lam Dong provinces has a total length of about 69 km, of which the section through Binh Thuan is about 51 km long. The total cost is more than 1,400 billion VND.
The investor is the Vietnam Road Administration and the project management unit is Project Management Board 5. Since April 2024, this project has been under construction, expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2026.
This is the shortest route to connect two tourist centers, Da Lat city, Lam Dong province and Mui Ne in Phan Thiet city, Binh Thuan province.
