On November 11, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction issued a document announcing the adjustment of traffic organization on National Highway 51, the section passing through the former Ba Ria - Vung Tau province.
According to the announcement, from November 17, the organization of lane division on this route will be adjusted as follows:
2 lanes on the left side of the median strip are organized for cars to circulate; the third lane is for cars and passenger cars with less than 30 seats; the right lane on the outside is also organized for 2-3 wheel cars and motorbikes to circulate.
At the same time, a median strip of about 50 m was installed, separating the lanes for cars and the lanes for motorbikes at intersections.
At intersections, the organization has installed signs R.411 "The direction on each lane must follow", on all 3 lanes for cars. In particular, 2 lanes close to the road median strip will be organized for cars to go straight. The third lane will be for vehicles to turn left, turn around, and turn right.
Thus, vehicles turning left and turning around instead of using on the lane near the road as at present, must switch to using on the third lane from the road center.
