On the afternoon of July 24, Minh Hoa Commune People's Committee (Quang Tri province) said that the commune police are coordinating with the provincial police to continue investigating and handling the act of beating his child causing injury by Mr. D. X. H (34 years old), temporarily residing in Minh Hoa commune.
According to initial information, on the evening of July 20, Minh Hoa General Hospital admitted child D. Q. B (9 years old) for treatment with many bruises in the buttocks, back, arms and eyes.
At the time of taking baby B to the hospital, the family declared that the injuries on her body were due to falling.
Immediately after receiving the information, local authorities intervened to verify and clarify the incident.
On the morning of July 21, Mr. H proactively went to Minh Hoa Commune Police to confess about the act of beating his child.
According to initial confessions, Mr. H discovered that his child had forgotten his backpack, so he got angry and used a plastic pipe to repeatedly hit his nephew.
After the incident, many bruises appeared on baby B's body. Relatives took her to Minh Hoa General Hospital for treatment.
On July 22, the family asked for baby B to be discharged from the hospital and taken to a higher-level medical facility for a more thorough examination of the injuries inside.
According to Minh Hoa Commune People's Committee, Mr. H is currently a contract employee of a unit in the area. This person has household registration in Kim Phu commune, and temporarily resides in Minh Hoa commune with his family.
