On August 19, a working delegation of the Statistics Department led by Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong - Director of the Statistics Department surveyed Duyen Hai Thermal Power Company and a number of wind power plant projects in Vinh Long province.
The delegation included Mr. Tran Van Lau - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Vinh Long province; Mr. Tran Tri Quang - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, along with leaders of departments, agencies, and branches of the province.
At Duyen Hai Thermal Power Company, the working delegation and leaders of Vinh Long province grasped the production and business situation of the enterprise.

According to the report, in the first 7 months of 2026, the electricity output produced by Duyen Hai 1, Duyen Hai 3 and Duyen Hai 3 expanded thermal power plants reached 10.6 billion kWh, an increase of 10.6% compared to the same period in 2025 and reaching 53.2% of the 2026 plan assigned by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
The working delegation also learned about the electricity output plan for the remaining months of the year; import market, domestic market and input costs of fuel for production. In addition, the delegation was interested in mastering the technology, machinery and ash and slag treatment of Duyen Hai Thermal Power Company.

Also on August 19, the working delegation surveyed the field of the V1-5, V1-6 wind power plant project phase 2 in Long Huu commune and the V1-3 wind power plant project phase 2 in Truong Long Hoa ward.
According to the investor's report, the two projects have a total capacity of 128MW, are focusing maximum resources, organizing simultaneous construction of items, striving to complete and put into operation in the fourth quarter of 2026 according to the set schedule and direction of the Provincial People's Committee.
Through surveys, the working delegation of the Statistics Department further grasped the operating situation of energy projects, the advantages and difficulties in the implementation process, thereby serving the assessment of the province's economic development situation in the coming time.
