The project to install the engine of 2 Long Thanh airport 110kV transformer stations, started on September 29, 2025, is part of the project "Long Thanh airport 110kV transformer station and connecting lines".

This is phase 2 of the project, with a total investment of 38.8 billion VND. The scale of the project includes 1 transformer with a capacity of 40MVA. The project belongs to group C, type of energy project level II.

Previously, on November 27, 2024, Dong Nai Power Company successfully energized phase 1 of the project. The scale of phase 1 is 1 transformer with a capacity of 40MVA, a 3.8 km long connection line to the station, with a total investment of 119 billion VND, ensuring power supply as soon as the airport comes into operation.

With the operation of the Long Thanh Airport 110kV transformer station 2, the total capacity of the Long Thanh airport 110kV was increased to 80MVA, contributing significantly to ensuring power supply for Long Thanh International Airport, while contributing to reducing the 22kV power supply radius, reducing losses, ensuring voltage quality, and improving the reliability of power supply in neighboring areas.

In the past time, Dong Nai Power Company has always ensured electricity supply for the activities of the Long Thanh airport construction site, with an average electricity output of 730,000 kWh/month.

Currently, the main power source for the construction of Long Thanh airport is being supplied through 2 110kV transformer stations outside the airport. In the coming time, when relevant units complete the infrastructure and procedures synchronously, the 110kV transformer station of Long Thanh airport will be connected to directly provide electricity for the project, both during the construction process and when the airport is put into operation.
