On November 17, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province conveyed the opinion of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, agreeing on the proposed policy of the Department of Agriculture and Environment on using the funding of the Provincial Agricultural and Environmental Fund (Propaganda Prevention Fund) to support the People's Committee of Phuoc Tan ward in dredging, clearing, and clearing Cau Quan stream to increase drainage capacity and reduce flooding caused by natural disasters.

The implementation cost is about 2.9 billion VND, implemented in 2025-2026.

According to the submission of the provincial Department of Agriculture and Environment, Phuoc Tan Ward People's Committee is assigned to be the agency to decide on investment, approve the budget design and the plan to select a contractor to dredge, clear, and clear Cau Quan stream to increase the ability to drain water, reduce flooding caused by natural disasters to prevent and minimize damage when natural disasters occur to ensure the safety of property, crops and lives of local people.

According to the provincial Department of Agriculture and Environment, the storm season is currently at its peak, which can cause unpredictable damage. The People's Committee of Phuoc Tan Ward needs to fully assess the impact of the flow to have effective construction solutions to ensure quality and promote the long-term effects of the project; at the same time, the locality organizes the implementation of handling and clearing cases of encroachment on the stream bed to ensure drainage capacity and efficiency of the project.

Recently, in Phuoc Tan ward, flooding has often occurred due to prolonged heavy rain, water from the upper reaches of the Buong River rose, causing damage to people's property, crops, and crops; thousands of students in the ward had to stay home from school to ensure safety.
