Khanh Hoa - Heavy rain lasted all night, causing National Highway 1 and many traffic routes in the province to be deeply flooded, causing a series of vehicles to stall.

On the morning of November 17, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Khanh Hoa province said that in the past 24 hours, the province has had heavy to very heavy rain with thunderstorms.

The common rainfall was 100 - 250 mm; many places recorded particularly heavy rain such as Nhon Hai 316 mm, Khanh Phu 334 mm, Suoi Hanh - Dau Moi Dam 392 mm.

At the My Ca - intersection between National Highway 1 and Nguyen Chi Thanh Street (Bac Cam Ward), the water was about 50cm deep.

Some sections of National Highway 1 through Cam Ranh area were also flooded, causing many low-chassis cars and motorbikes to stall in the middle of the road.

Mr. Nguyen The Phong (a resident of Phan Rang ward) said that on the morning of November 17, it took him more than an hour to travel the 15km distance from Cam Ranh to Cam Lam.

"The water was flooded, many low-chassis vehicles stalled, so the vehicles had to line up and go very slowly," Phong recounted.

In addition to National Highway 1, National Highway 27B was also flooded 40 - 50cm. The authorities have blocked both ends, temporarily not allowing motorbikes to pass through to ensure safety.

In the area in front of the gate of Du Long Industrial Park (Thuan Bac commune), rising water obstructed traffic. Traffic police are strengthened to regulate vehicles and guide cars to move in appropriate lanes to avoid congestion.

Many drivers were forced to turn around to find other routes to avoid deep flooding points on National Highway 1.
