On October 14, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province sent a document to the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the People's Committees of Long Thanh, Nhon Trach, An Phuoc communes and the Provincial Land Fund Development Center on compensation and support for the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh expressway expansion project in Dong Nai province.
Accordingly, regarding the gathering of people, issuance of land recovery notices and implementation of counting, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province assigned the Provincial Land Fund Development Center to direct the Land Fund Development Centers of Long Thanh and Nhon Trach branches to coordinate with the People's Committees of communes to urgently hold meetings and mobilize the counting (the map of land recovery after measurement will be issued a notice of land recovery and the counting will be completed). The implementation results will be completed in October 2025.
Regarding compensation land valuation, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province assigned the People's Committees of Nhon Trach, Long Thanh and An Phuoc communes to preside over and coordinate with the Land Fund Development Center, Long Thanh and Nhon Trach branches and related units to immediately organize the implementation of procedures to select specific land valuation consulting units and approve land price plans to develop compensation plans for households whose land is recovered in accordance with regulations. The implementation results will be completed before October 25.
Regarding the work of measuring land acquisition maps and providing cadastral information for the recovered land plot under the project, the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Dong Nai province to urgently implement.
In addition, to improve regional traffic infrastructure connectivity, creating conditions for socio-economic development of Dong Nai province in particular and the Southeast region in general, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province proposed that the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Construction consider giving opinions to the Vietnam Expressway Corporation to add the investment item to complete the intersection of Road 319 to the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh Expressway expansion project. Dong Nai province is committed to site clearance and relocation of technical infrastructure to ensure compliance with the requirements for the completion of the construction progress of the intersection of Road 319 in 2025.
According to the Southern Expressway Project Management Board, the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh Expressway expansion project is a project implemented in the form of an emergency project, which was started on August 19, 2025 and is currently being implemented by contractors in many items at the construction site.
The project to expand the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh expressway from the Ring Road 2 intersection to the Ring Road 3 intersection (Km4+000 - Km8+844.5), nearly 5 km long, will be expanded from 4 lanes to 8 lanes.
The section from the Ring Road 3 intersection to the intersection with the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway (excluding the Long Thanh bridge area), nearly 15 km long, will be expanded from 4 lanes to 10 lanes.
In particular, Long Thanh Bridge, over 2.3km long, will build a new bridge with a scale of 5 complete lanes (with an emergency lane) in the direction from Ho Chi Minh City to Long Thanh, located on the right side of the existing bridge with a width of 23.75m.
