Dong Nai temporarily suspends construction of district and city-level headquarters

Dong Nai - The Provincial People's Committee requested districts and cities to temporarily suspend the construction of headquarters and procurement of assets.

On March 12, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province sent a document to the People's Committees of districts, Long Khanh city, and Bien Hoa city regarding the temporary suspension of the implementation of investment projects to build offices and equipment for work of district and city-level administrative agencies and units.

Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee requests that for new construction works and projects, repairing, renovating, and upgrading working headquarters of agencies, organizations, departments, and units under the management of district-level administrative units using state budget capital (including public investment capital), People's Committees of districts, Long Khanh City, and Bien Hoa City urgently:

Temporarily suspend the implementation of project works, not yet complete investment preparation work; project works have completed investment preparation work but have not yet selected contractors; project works are in the process of organizing the selection of construction contractors; project works have signed construction contracts but have not mobilized personnel, machinery, materials, equipment, and have not yet paid costs to organize construction.

For projects that have signed construction contracts, contractors have mobilized personnel, machinery, materials, equipment, and spent costs to prepare for construction or are under construction, the implementation must be temporarily suspended to review the work; Thereby, synthesizing and proposing handling measures for each case, reporting to competent authorities for consideration and decision to continue implementing according to regulations.

Regarding the procurement of assets and working equipment of agencies, organizations, departments, offices and units under the management of district-level administrative units, review the arranged estimates, only conduct the procurement of assets and working equipment in truly necessary and urgent cases to maintain normal operations of the unit, in cases where it is not really necessary and urgent, the procurement shall be temporarily suspended.

The suspension period is until the competent authority has a new directive.
