According to the People's Committee of Dong Thap province, the work aims to ensure mineral exploitation, especially sand exploitation, takes place in accordance with regulations, promptly serving key projects.
The People's Committee of Dong Thap province assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to review and request sand mining enterprises ( mine owners) to install surveillance camera systems at sand mines; share information with the Provincial Police to monitor and manage according to assigned functions and tasks and report the implementation results to the Provincial People's Committee for monitoring.
The Department of Agriculture and Environment also coordinates with the Provincial Police and related units to strengthen inspection and management of sand mining activities in the province; ensure the volume of sand licensed for exploitation (including sand mines licensed under special mechanisms) to be supplied to key projects; handle violations according to regulations.
In particular, the People's Committee of Dong Thap province requires sand mining enterprises to install surveillance camera systems at mines according to regulations; take full responsibility if there are violations when exploiting sand without providing them to key projects according to the direction of the Prime Minister.
