The project investor is the Bac Ninh Agricultural and Rural Development Construction Investment Project Management Board.
The project has a total investment of more than 190 billion VND.
Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper had many articles reflecting on the pollution situation of the Tao Khe canal.
Specifically, in April 2023, before the recommendations and reflections of people in Que Vo town (old) on the pollution situation of the Tao Khe canal, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Bac Ninh province coordinated with localities to survey the current status of the Tao Khe canal, and at the same time took water samples at some locations for analysis.
Actual verification shows that the Tao Khe canal is the place to receive wastewater from Khac Niem vermicelli village and units under Dabaco Group Joint Stock Company.
Functional units clearly identified that the source of emission is located upstream of the Tao Khe canal due to vermicelli production activities discharging wastewater into the environment, which is decomposed, fermented and smells foul, the water flow is thick, foamy and mixed with many waste, affecting the groundwater downstream of the Tao Khe canal.
As for the area near Dabaco Nuclear Pig Breeding Co., Ltd. and at Cau Tram, water source analysis results show that many parameters exceed the permissible standard by 2-4 times. In which, ammonia exceeds 14.7 - 16.9 times and nitrite exceeds 90 - 110 times.
The pollution of the Tao Khe canal water source not only destroys aquatic life but also seriously affects agricultural production and people's lives.
