The urgent project of Pheo - Che flood prevention dyke in the downstream of Da River, Ky Son District (now Ky Son Ward) has a total investment of more than 597 billion VND, invested by the Project Management Board of Agricultural Works of Hoa Binh Province. The Center for Land Fund Development of Hoa Binh City is responsible for site clearance.
The project is 6.2 km long (from Km0-Km6+200, Provincial Road 445); starting point at Pheo area, Ky Son ward; ending point at Che area, Hop Thinh commune, Hoa Binh city, adjacent to Hanoi city.
In March 2024, the above project was started, according to plan, the project will be completed by the end of 2025. However, up to now, the construction is still going slowly due to many problems in site clearance.
On November 27, according to the reporter's records, in some areas at the construction site, construction activities were still taking place with dozens of machines and workers mobilized.
However, many locations are under construction at a slow pace, and machinery has even stopped operating due to lack of space.
Talking to reporters, Mr. Dinh Van Hoan - project engineer (My Phong Company - construction unit) said: "The project is being constructed at a slow pace due to lack of land. Currently, machinery has been mobilized to the construction site, but there is not enough work to do. For the areas where the land has been handed over, the contractor has started construction."
Regarding the progress of the project, the representative of the Project Management Board of Agricultural Works of Hoa Binh province said that up to now, the Ngoi Mai bridge item has demolished the old bridge and reinforced it with steel sheet piles, reinforced concrete piles to reinforce the foundation, drilled bored piles, abutments and installed girder cranes. The contractor is constructing the two ends of the abutments, the breast wall and reinforcing the stream bed. This package has completed 45% of the volume.
For the dike line package and works on section 1 (from Km0-Km6+200), only 15% of the volume value has been completed.
Currently, the construction unit has filled the ground at the beginning of the route, constructed culvert No. 1 and additional culvert. Particularly, Ngoi Mong bridge, which is part of this project, has completed bored pile drilling, installed bridge girders and slabs, and is currently pouring concrete for the bridge deck beams, bridge abutments, and approach roads at both ends of the bridge.
Talking about the difficulties, the representative of this unit said that, up to now, the construction unit has officially received the handover of the site from the Land Fund Development Center of Hoa Binh City, mainly the part under construction is the advance payment from the local government and households.
On the local side, Ms. Nguyen Thi Oanh - a resident of Gieng hamlet, Hop Thanh commune - shared: "We really hope this project will be completed and put into use soon. Currently, the old road is degraded and dirty, making life very difficult for the people here."
