The North-South railway overpass project on the East-South Highway (old Thanh Hoa city area, now in Hac Thanh ward, Thanh Hoa province) started construction in July 2024, constructed by a joint venture of Dat Phuong Group Joint Stock Company and Minh Tuan Construction Investment Joint Stock Corporation.

The project has a total investment of nearly 647 billion VND, of which the construction cost is 513.31 billion VND, the rest is site clearance cost and other costs.
The project has a total length of nearly 800 m, including a main bridge 276 m long and an approach road of more than 500 m. The bridge is designed with a cable-stayed permanent reinforced concrete structure, a 25 m wide bridge surface with 4 lanes for motor vehicles and 2 mixed lanes.
According to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, by December 17, the project had been basically completed. The construction unit is rushing to complete and install the remaining items to be ready for technical traffic opening.

A representative of the Department of Construction of Thanh Hoa province said that the project plays an important role in completing the traffic system of the western gateway area of Hac Thanh ward, contributing to reducing congestion at the intersection of Trinh Kiem - Dong - Tay Avenue - Nguyen Trai Street, improving infrastructure connectivity and travel conditions for people.
The project is expected to be technically open to traffic on December 19. This is also one of the works to celebrate the 14th National Congress of the Party.
