On May 31, according to the Dak Lak Province Traffic Construction Investment and Rural Development Project Management Board - the investor of the Ho Chi Minh Road Construction Investment Project, the section avoiding the East of Buon Ma Thuot City, the site clearance work has not yet been completed.
113 m at the project's frontline in Cu M'gar district (Dak Lak) has not yet completed site clearance.
There are 16 households affected in this area. The Land Fund Development Center of Cu M'gar district is appraising the compensation plan for 10 households. It is expected that the appraisal of the remaining 6 household plans will begin in early June 2025.
Thus, the site handover schedule did not meet the requirements of the Ministry of Construction's official dispatch.
According to the Official Letter signed on May 21, 2025, the Ministry of Construction requested the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Dak Lak Province to direct and definitely handle the clearance of the investment project to build the Ho Chi Minh road in the eastern part of Buon Ma Thuot City.
In the document of the Ministry of Construction, it was affirmed that the project's site clearance work is still continuing to be delayed, not meeting the requirements for project completion.
Therefore, the Ministry of Construction requested the Provincial Party Secretary and Chairman of the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee to consider handling the responsibilities of relevant groups and individuals managed by the Province.
In case there are still problems with the site clearance (113 m of the first route) by May 30, the Ministry of Construction will consider zoning the project to hand over to the locality for management and completion investment after the locality has arranged funding.
The Ho Chi Minh Road construction investment project, the eastern bypass of Buon Ma Thuot City, is nearly 40 km long, with a total investment of more than VND1,800 billion.
According to the plan, the project must be completed by the end of 2024. However, due to land clearance problems, the project has not yet been completed and has been extended to June 30, 2025.
