National Highway 28B, 68 km long connecting the two provinces of Binh Thuan and Lam Dong, is entering the completion stage, promising to open a new chapter for the socio-economic development of the region.
This project is not simply a traffic project, but also a symbol of connection and cultural exchange between the South Central Coast and the Central Highlands.
With a total investment of 1,435 billion VND from the state budget. National Highway 28B is expected to become a "trump" of traffic, creating favorable conditions for the transportation of goods and passengers between Binh Thuan and Lam Dong.
This route starts from the intersection with National Highway 1 in Bac Binh District, Binh Thuan and ends at Ta Hine intersection, Duc Trong District, Lam Dong.
The National Highway 28B Renovation and Upgrade Project is divided into two main sections. The section Km0 - Km28 is a grade III plain road, with a design speed of 80 km/h. The section Km28 - Km69 is a grade III mountainous road, with a design speed of 60 km/h.
According to the Vietnam Road Administration, when completed, this route will significantly shorten the time, while increasing safety for vehicles traveling from Binh Thuan to Lam Dong and vice versa.
This upgraded and renovated route also shortens the time from Ho Chi Minh City to Da Lat and vice versa, thanks to the connection with the North - South Expressway in the East. This not only helps reduce the cost of transporting goods, but also promotes production and consumption not only in the South Central Coast and Central Highlands but also in the Southern region.
