According to the Southern Hydrometeorological Station, the weather forecast for the next 24-48 hours is that the continental cold high pressure will strengthen and shift to the East. The tropical convergence zone with an axis through the Central region is gradually weakening.

In the southern sea, the southwest wind will gradually decrease in intensity, from November 9 the wind will change direction to operate with weak intensity.

Weather forecast for the next 3-10 days, the continental cold high pressure will be stable, then strengthened and supplemented from November 12-13.

Above, the southern branch of the subtropical high pressure will gradually lift its axis to the North and encroach on the West, from around November 10 it will tend to weaken. Around November 10, Typhoon Fung-Wong currently in the eastern Philippines is likely to enter the East Sea.

Therefore, the Southern region is cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms; in the afternoon and evening, there are scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some places having heavy rain.

Regarding the high tide situation, it is forecasted that today, the highest peak tide may appear from 17:00. At Phu An station (Saigon river) and Nha Be station (Dong Dien canal), it is 1.77-1.80 m (at the level above alert level 3 of about 0.17-0.20 m).

After reaching the peak this afternoon, the water level at the stations will decrease slowly tomorrow (November 8), then decrease faster. The peak water level above alert level 1 will remain until November 11.
