In the first 6 months of 2026, Gia Lai province's socio-economy recorded many positive results, creating an important foundation to complete the GRDP growth target of 10.2% for the whole year.
A noteworthy highlight is that Gia Lai has gradually shifted to operating based on data, contributing to improving the effectiveness of direction, administration and supporting the analysis of growth scenarios by industry, field, and area.
Socio-economic situation continues to maintain positive development momentum. Agriculture, forestry and fishery are stable; more than 5,000ha of inefficient crops have been converted to higher-value crops, reaching 61.9% of the annual plan.

In the industrial sector, the whole province has established 74/99 industrial clusters with a total area of about 3,420ha. In the first 6 months of the year, there were 60 industrial production projects put into operation, with a total investment capital of about 22,280 billion VND.
Trade, services and tourism continued to grow strongly, especially within the framework of the National Tourism Year - Gia Lai 2026. The whole province welcomed more than 8.74 million visitors, an increase of 18.5%; total revenue from tourism reached about 19,000 billion VND, an increase of 19% compared to the same period.
The province successfully organized the 2026 Investment Promotion Conference with the participation of about 800 domestic and foreign businesses and investors. Here, the province awarded investment policy decisions, investment registration certificates and signed memorandums of understanding for 273 projects, with a total registered capital of nearly 850,000 billion VND.
Accumulated to June 17, Gia Lai attracted 161 new projects with a total capital of more than 163. 135 billion VND, nearly 3.5 times higher than the same period. The whole province has 1,929 newly established enterprises, with a total registered capital of 28,488 billion VND, an increase of 57%.
State budget revenue reached more than 15,600 billion VND, reaching more than 56% of the year's estimate and increasing by 63.3% compared to the same period. Of which, domestic revenue reached more than 11,006 billion VND, and import and export revenue reached 430.5 billion VND.
Disbursement of public investment capital reached more than 4,000 billion VND, equivalent to 25.58% of the plan assigned by the Prime Minister. Gia Lai ranks 14th/34 provinces and cities and leads the South Central Coast - Central Highlands region.
By June 20, the province had fully updated 110 tasks assigned by the Government and the Prime Minister. Of which, 39 tasks were completed on time, with no overdue tasks.
In the last 6 months of the year, Gia Lai continues to focus on implementing the GRDP growth target of 10.2%. The province prioritizes removing bottlenecks in investment, land, planning, site clearance and construction materials; accelerating the disbursement of public investment capital, especially key projects.
Continue to effectively operate the 2-level local government model; promote administrative reform, digital transformation, dossier digitization, and improve service quality at public administrative centers at all levels.
