On September 3, in an exchange with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Do Xuan Phuc - Chairman of Quan Ba Commune People's Committee said that functional forces are continuing to deploy the search for missing victims in the Khau Lan waterfall area.
From yesterday until now, about 40-50 people have deployed searches. Forces have used measures, using specialized cameras to search but still have not found them.
The waterfall area flows very strongly and deeply, and below there are many caves and crevices," Mr. Phuc said.
Also according to the Chairman of Quan Ba Commune People's Committee, this morning, a diving team from the Provincial Police continued to come to the scene. If the camera method is not effective, diving searches will be deployed.
Previously, as Lao Dong newspaper reported, on the afternoon of September 1, functional agencies received a report about 2 tourists swimming at Khau Lan waterfall. Mr. Q.T.D (born 1996, residing in Ho Chi Minh City) showed signs of drowning, being swept into the cave area of the waterfall and missing.
After receiving information, rescue forces and specialized vehicles and equipment set off to the scene.
